The streets of Cebu was turned into a big dance floor last Sunday when we had our Sinulog. It is the fiesta of the child Jesus, the Sto. Nino and we celebrate by having a parade in his honor.
Cebuanos, Filipinos and visitors alike danced to the beat of the drums, maybe not Tama Drums though. I am sad I missed the street dancing (for 6 years now) but what can we do? It is difficult to bring the kids to the streets since they are too small and the crowds might be overwhelming to them. When we heard mass, we passed by the kids covered in black paint and dancing. Jacob was excited to see them and even wanted to join the dancing.
Maybe next year when they are a bit bigger, we can finally join the procession and street dancing.
