Yoyo Diet

Monday, October 24, 2011

My diet was put on hold a month ago because I got sick. Now, I can't start again because I am hooked on caffeine. I really should have enough self-restraint and will-power to STOP SNACKING ON JUNK and CHOCOLATES but sadly, I don't.

I really don't. I lost 7 lbs last month and I gained it back again. =((

I haven't eaten rice for the longest time and all I have are oranges and apples but - you would think I will lose some weight for sure. But no.

My breakfast is nutella (lots of it), I snack on Pringles and Doritos, then I have ice cream for dessert. Oh Gosh.

Starting November, this sinner will start living a healthy life. I can't be overweight when Hubby comes home in December. I just can't. That is how affairs are started. Men are visual creatures and as a wife, it is my duty to stay fit. For myself mostly (because I really don't want to have health complications especially since I am a MOM) and also for Hubby, so that he'll not think I am letting go of myself. Of course, if my no rice diet will fail me, I can always try the HCG weight loss Austin style diet.

Stuff Happening.

2nd Quarter parent teacher meeting tomorrow, no classes for Joshua.

He is happy. I am anxious.

I don't know why but I am. Joshua and I spent a big deal of time studying for that test - I even made worksheets! 10 for the first day of exam and 13 for the second. Boy it wasn't easy but we managed and I feel like he was ready for the test.

During the 1st grading period exam he had 5 mistakes!!! I really felt it was such a waste since he knew the answer but he was careless. So, the main thing that I kept repeating was for him to answer and review.

Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. Meantime, I need to look for a more reliable home cell booster for dad. His iphone 4 always has trouble getting a signal lately and it is pissing him off. He cannot NOT have a phone since he is an important man and a lot of calls come in for him every minute.

All About Repairs

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

The only set-back I can see while owning a car is the repairs and maintenance bit. I have only myself to blame of course since I don't know a thing about cars; I rely on the boys of the family to enlighten me when the car has troubles. Since it is not every time they can come to my aide, I make the decisions by myself which at times - costs me 50% more than necessary. My uncle is into cars, he even has his own shop now that he is more comfortable in life - that's why when I had to ask him about motor home repair he knew what to answer! However if you are a resident of either the US and Canada you can join the Good Sam Club to assure yourself of RV repairs anywhere, anytime.

Dry Hands

2 weeks ago, my sister and I treated ourselves with a whole body massage and foot spa. Now barely 15 days after; my feet looks like it had been walking for days in the dessert. To say it is dry is an understatement. My heels are cracked. My feet is peeling dead skin. It is no a pretty sight. I've been struggling with chronic dry skin for as long as I can remember and sometimes it is bearable. Other times, especially when its the time of the month - it is hell. In addition, the humid weather in the Philippines is not helping the cause at all.

I've come to terms with it and learned to live with it by eating fruits, hydrating myself with water as much as possible and by putting lotion generously morning, noon, night and in between. I don't know if it is true but they say deadsea salt can help my cause. Maybe, if Hub and get a hold of it for me - I will tell you all if it works for dry skin.

My hands are not as bad as it used to though, my feet (heel) is my major problem area and I really can't stand it.

Dino's Alive

My son is a certified dino fan since he was 3.

I thought it was only a phase, something he will outgrow in a few months or a year tops. But 2 years plus later, he still hasn't outgrown his passion for these gigantic creatures. So when I saw this posted in facebook, I quickly took notice and I am planning to buy the tickets in advance to make sure we can go there as early as possible.

Quite honestly, I too am excited to see the dinosaurs which are lifelike.
