Mental Note: Insurance Coverage.

Last year, around August - I mentioned a accident regarding an employee in our company. He and a bunch of technicians were en route to a big client. Now, thousands of pesos later, we are trying to have the expenses reimbursed by SSS (Social Security System). It's okay, they are in the process of doing so - but my gripe is the fact that they are a) taking forever b) they don't tell us everything we need and everything we can get in one go. They tell it to us piece by piece thus slowing the process even more because we need to go back and forth for the requirements. I am sure, if the people in our company are insured, let's say in a non-government, private company then we won't have a problem claiming for the social security disability insurance our employee so badly needs. Especially now that his kids are still in school and he has to undergo more rehab for his lazy eye caused by the accident. This reminds me!!! Mental note: Get insurance for hubby finalized ASAP.

Better Guns than...

Hubby is into airsoft. He was bummed out when the weather in Norway turned on them and didn't deliver. Their airsoft games was cut short because of the unpredictable weather. Good thing for me because I get worried when the playin' get rough. One time, he got hit near his eye. He claims it was not big deal, but then, I was really worried. It was a big deal to me.

Look at how close it came to his eye. These things are dangerous, so of course, I made an ultimatum. If he won't wear protective gear, then he better forget about joining these games again. I am guessing he's gonna load up on protective gear because he was also buying rifle scopes so that means he likes to play for years to come. I have no problem with that at all.

BB is Love

While everybody has an iPhone or a Blackberry - I have a Samsung Omnia. I hate it really. It often stalls and hangs. I've had the OS reinstalled so many times already but then the problem does not go away. I can even open youtube in that thing.

I was supposed to get an iPhone4 but that has been deferred to December which I don't mind really but then Hubby suddenly sprang with the question,"Do you want a blackberry instead?

Naturally - I said yes!!! I was thinking of the new Blackberry Torch. However, with all the expenses coming our way this month, I just declined his generous offer. While I dislike my omnia, it still serves its purpose (text, made and take calls) so I don't mind. I'll live with it for a few months up until the iPhone4 plan will be back in the table. We'll see. The red BB Torch is calling my name.....

Hungry Pig

Since my eldest son is obsessed with angry birds, I had 2 shirts made for him for his birthday. A yellow shirt with the red bird on it and a black tee with the white bird this time. 2 of his fave birds daw. I was supposed to give it to him for his birthday this Thursday but then he saw it and got excited and demanded he wear it. I am just glad he loved my gift.

My baby boy who doesn't care for that (because frankly he only cares about milk, food and Barney) looks so cute in his very own customized tee. Not to be outdone, I got a shirt made for him too.

He got the nemesis of the birds, the hungry pig design. He doesn't seem to mind at all =)))

He's Here.

The family is complete!!!

Hubby arrived last Thursday, via Qatar Airlines from Norway. I have been swamped with family gatherings and activities that I have not updated and blatantly ignored my social life (fb, twitter, mails and blogs). Of course, family trumps anything else; I didn't even get to attend my son's parent teacher meeting which is good because I would have been elected again as class rep! LOL

Lookie at the happy bunch <3 So cute. Never mind my humongous arms!!! Ack. I was supposed to be on a diet but the plan quickly turned just that - a plan. It never materialized into action because Hubby missed the food so much that he asks we eat out as much as possible. We've tried dimsum, thai, mexican, japanese and filipino food already. What's next for my diet plan??? Well...I plan to go back to drinking one of the best diet pills out there (the one my friend endorses so much) and diet when Hubby isn't here. That way, when he comes home this December - I'd be good as new ready to pig out once again ^_^

For Him.

I don't think I am a Daddy's girl - but in some ways I am. That's why when Father's Day rolled over a few weeks ago, My sister and I made sure to make him feel extra special. Of course, I have spent days contemplating on what to give him. It's so hard to give guys a gift you know. I even checked online gift ideas for Father's Day. There are so many to choose from, there are personalized gifts, you can also opt to give Dad a gadget or a tool, or some golf equipment if he's into that (like my Dad is).

So anyway, my sister and I decided to treat my Dad in a fancy restaurant instead. He had his favorite steak and margarita.

He said he loved our gift. So when it boils down to it, whatever you give to Dad on his day, he will love it because it came from his beloved kids.

I know it's late, but Happy Father's Day to all Dads out there.

Crocolandia Fun

Last Saturday, the kids and I went to Crocolandia with my sister. The place is a small zoo which started with a few crocodiles (thus the name) and it slowly expanded and added some more animals to the place.

My boys had a blast looking at all the different species. There were crocodiles (ofcourse.)

...and snakes!!! We were lucky (or unlucky however you might see it) to have come in the right time. Apparently, they feed this particular snake once a month, about 5 chickens each time and we were able to witness this!!! Ick.
