My grandma whose 79 has something in common with her youngerst great-grandson whose 2.
They both love playing with the ipad.
Both of them are into games which has something to do with letters and numbers. I guess, there's no denying it - they are related. It doesn't hurt that they look somewhat the same as well.
Let me tell you something about my grandmother, eversince my grandfather got a nursing aide and their household has an additional househelp - my grandma - who has been in charge most of her life has been feeling a bit of left out. I think she is feeling useless since she used to do all the cooking, gardening and the caring for my sickly grandfather. Because of the changes in their lifestyle, she has been cranky and irritable causing my single aunt (who they live with) a great deal of stress. We've had family discussions over this and since my grandma clearly enjoys her games, this would be a good distraction for her which does not require for her too much strain. Her mind would be busy so she won't cause trouble at home. Cross-stitching and knitting was a choice of activity but it causes strain in her hands so we cancelled that thought. Another option is letting her go to bingo socials but she refuses to go out of the house much so maybe online bingo games are the answer. It got me thinking, are there apps out there for games of chance? If not, she can always go online with her ipad and it try out and maybe she can get to socialize with the other players too? With such a distraction - she won't feel bored anymore ergo - she won't be cranky. The beauty of online games is that it is open for everyone, young, old, girl, boy or whoever. How fun is that!

Thank you for posting this article. I also plugged the show on Facebook, with mixed results from my friends. All I ask of people, whether they are familiar with homeopathy or not, is to watch my designer wedding dress. They are very very beautiful.
