Foodie

A family friend, whose a great cook (in my opinion) is thinking of going into the catering business. However, she doesn't have the capital yet so she'll work first in her field and gain experience and enough money. She has asked me if I know of any Food Service Manager Jobs of any jobs in the food industry. Sadly, I am not too familiar with this so I told her to look it up in the newspaper and in the world wide web (since everything is in the web nowadays, right?). I really wish for her to succeed because she's determined and hardworking. I wonder why I don't have the "cooking gene". My grandma is a great cook. But, since she is bossy in the kitchen, my mother never gained the love for cooking. Neither have I. I should know how to cook - I am a mom after all (how will I ever feed my kids if the cook is on leave?) plus I am one great foodie. I can finish 2 cups of rice in one sitting alone. Anyway, since it's pathetic to have zero knowledge in cooking I've asked my friend a favor, she's teaching me some basic recipe's in the next few weeks! Yey! Wish me luck.
