Watch Out

My little one is fond of watching televisions and I just allow him provided that I make sure to limit his hours and that we've discussed that if I decide to have the TV turned off he would not have a tantrum. The good thing is he actually understands this concept. Whenever I say, "no more cartoons Joshua, it's Mommy's turn to watch the news". He would complain a bit but he would comply. He usually watches shows like Tom & Jerry, Spongebob Squarepants, Chowder, Jimmy Neutron, Dennis the Menace, Amazing Spies and even Pokemon! His fave characters are bestfriends Spongebob and Patrick hands down.

In my mind, a little TV is okay as long as I know what he's watching and that he has limits in terms of duration of viewing. That's the reason why I've not placed a television inside our room. In my mind its harder to curb his love for watching when a tv set is inside the room.
