Diamon Peel Anyone?

Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Last night, my sister, mom and I went to the spa to have facial treatment done. We actually don't have terrible skin so, it was my sister and I's very first time to have some professional pampering. Just as well, because it was for free - dad is a member so we used up all his perks.

Mom had this all natural facial for her sensitive skin, while Jennie and I opted for the diamond peel facial and eye rejuvenating massage (I don't remember what its actually called; but it was to reduce puffiness around the eyes).

If you're not familiar with Diamond Peel (so was I at first, I did a little research about it and this is what I read).

Diamond Peel is a gentle process in order to retain the youthful and vibrant skin complexion of a person. Both men and women choose this option to look their best regardless of how old they are as the process is proven to give immediate results, affordable and treatments varies depending on the individual's skin care needs.

The Diamond Peel procedure is quick, pain-free and very effective in retaining a healthy skin. It does not leave redness after the process unlike other cosmetic techniques these days. Each treatment may only take some minutes therefore not interrupting your busy lifestyle.

The benefits from availing the Diamond Peel system are:
  • Better and more even skin tone
  • Smoother and softer skin
  • More refined skin pores
  • More glowing skin
  • Fewer breakouts
  • Youthful appearance
  • Promotes youthful neck
  • More confidence and happier smile
  • More elastic and stronger skin
  • Erases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Process:

The Diamond Peel approach in skin treatment uses a gentle method as it uses a controlled and adjustable system which ensure to give the patient a more comfortable procedure. The applicator uses a steady and effective strokes of fine crystals directly onto the skin. During the whole process, the old dead cells on the surface of the skin are removed which will then be replaced naturally in a matter of days. It then leaves the skin rejuvenated, smooth and soft.

Regular Diamond Peel treatment is advised to people having aged, sun-damaged skin; skin with acne scarring problems; freckles; stretch mark issues; wrinkles and fine lines and enlarged skin pores. - Source: HealthnBeyond

The process took only about 1 hour and 15 minutes. After that we left feeling squeaky, shiny clean. It didn't hurt and my face had a healthy glow after. Also, my pesky blackheads and whiteheads was eliminated leaving me with a cleaner face especially my nose.

I plan to do this on a monthly basis now just to have the dead skin removed.

10 Things I'll Never Own

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

I've always loved fashion. At night, before going to bed I would imagine what my outfit would be for the next day. Sometimes, this would cause me a lot of stress especially in college when all I had was free time and no money.

Now, 5 years later, granted I could afford a few more clothes, I never have the time to shop/go out anymore. Anyway - I've just listed below some clothes/outfits you'll prolly never see me in. I've used the word probably because who knows? In 10 years these will be cool/cooler/acceptable/un-faux pas!? lol.

1. Anything with lots and lots of sequins. - Don't get me wrong, I love anything that glitters and sparkles. But too much of it reminds me so much of a costume instead of an outfit.
There are lots of sequin dresses that are really pretty out there. But not these two. I love Carrie Underwood though.

2. Anything that too glittery and shiny. ( awww it hurts my eyesss!!)

3. Clothes that are TOO low. there's a fine line between sexy and sleazy.

4. or TOO sheer. - oops our fave fashion disaster did it again. and again. and again..

5. Too much color and neon's. (once again..my eyes!!)

6. Animal prints. (too much is never a good thing) - I've always loved Eva Mendez and her style but I guess she missed this one.

7. Boyfriend jeans.(what's wrong with wearing your own jeans?) - I love Katie so I'll forgive her for this.

8. Granny shorts and mismatched colors.

9. Hooker Heels - you can't pay me enough to wear these! I'll probably slip and break my ankle with this one. No thank you.
10. Shoulder pads. Unless you want to be with the cast of Dynasty - then no say no to shoulder pads; however we see latest trends with puffy/prominent shoulder pads lately..hmmm

===

I loved Britney Spears back in the day when she had Oops I did it again but last year, she was a walking fashion disaster. One thing is for sure, I'll never get caught wearing a hot pink wig!

Then again, we never really know because fashion evolves and my tastes in clothes does too. There was once a time when I said I'll never own a pair of skinny jeans because it will only make my thighs appear bigger - look where that lead me?

My fave pair of jeans right now is a black and its a skinny jean. Way to eat my words right?

So who knows?! One this is for certain, you'll NEVER see me wearing this. EVER. I don't care if it becomes a fad! NEVER.

    ANTM Cyle 11

    Saturday, November 15, 2008

My guess? Either Analeigh or McKey will win this cycle. There McKey is consistent with her pictures and poses. Analeigh kept getting better and she has this extra talent for acting.

I'm guessing she'll do a good job in their Covergirl shoot. Since Lauren Brie, the initial girl I was rooting for got booted off earlier in the cycle; I'll be betting on Analeigh now. I like Sam's spunk and happy personality - but she doesn't stand out as a model. She does take wonderful pictures. We'll see.

For this cycle, my favorite picture so far is this one from Lauren Brie - its even my desktop wallpaper for the month. Too bad for her she lacked personality! I even forgot her name and I am supposed to like her...

Here are the TOP 3's best photos from Yahoo Articles.

McKey's legs seem to go on forever in this Amsterdam open-sea photo shoot.

    ==~0o0~==

Analeigh sure can be a believable looking annoyed while still sating pretty in the Fiercee Awards Show shoot.

Sam makes a fierce tidal wave in this LA's natural disasters photo shoot.

    Friday, November 14, 2008

Now, now..it is true what they say! Once you've had a taste of a single designer bag; you must have more.

Hubby recently gifted me with a Speedy 30 Mini Lin. I was very giddy and happy to have one after all those years of simply dreaming about it. Classic and Chic, that's the reason I love the LV bags so much. It would never run out of style.

....and now I've begun to dream of this one too!!!

    Louis Vuitton Damier Neverfull MM
    Size: 12.6" x 11.4" x 6.5"

It's so pretty, it actually hurts my eyes. And not to mention wallet (if I decide to get one).
    Its free to dream right?

    Gossip Girl S2E10

    Thursday, November 13, 2008

I've recently finished watching Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 10 and I have a few points to say...

First of - I hate what Little J is becoming. She says she knows what she's doing and all that but can't she see she's hurting her family? I know all about having big dreams and I also know for a fact that we can achieve those big dreams without having to walk all over those who try to help us when we were just nothing.

..and in the scene where that friend of hers was burning her dresses? Uhmm hel-lo couldn't she have just gotten the dresses and ran like mad to the opposite direction instead of pleading while doing nothing?

Poor little J..I don't pity her, she should learn her lesson.

Second - What's up with the artist guy Serena's dating? I would never settle to be one of the many girls of some dude. Serena can do better than that! But anyway I really don't care - Serena's laughter annoys me anyway.

and lastly, I love Chuck's character. I love love love him. And he's British! Woah, cuteness factor just got higher.

If you haven't watched the latest episode yet, catch it here.

    Fitness.Fashion Goes to Cebu

The event was a brainchild of Inquirer of its Lifestyle Series, entitled Fitness.Fashion goes to Cebu. It featured fashion together with an active lifestyle. Who says sportswear can't be trendy?

For me though and for my friends, it was a chance to dress up in our 'chic' wear and an excuse to go out and party (even if by 'party' that meant I'll be out until 11PM).lol.

    Photobucket

I was invited by a friend and a featured fashion designer Edwin Ao. Other featured designers included Lord Maturan (of Phil Project Runway), Philip Rodriguez, Arcy Gayatin, OJ Hofer, Cary Santiago, Jun Escario, Protacio, Louis Claparols, Rhett Eala, Lulu Tan Gan, Anthony Nocom, Randy Ortiz, James Reyes and Joy Samson.

The fashion show featured newest styles by the designers for Kipling, Folded and Hung, Speedo, Nike Golf, Havaianas and Technomarine.
